Antique silver cigarette case by silversmith Karl Huber. The hoopoe hallmark (left) was implemented in Austria in 1922. Karl Huber operated until 1924, which limits the window of its manufacture to just those 3 years. "2" and "900" denote the silver fineness, which is 90%. "W" means that this was crafted in Vienna, Austria. And "KH" are the initials of the silver smith. So this was a post Great War/WWI item, likely when many 0.900 silver coins were melted down.

Case weighs 132.2 grams and is composed of .900 silver. Absolutely gorgeous item and almost certainly one of a kind. You will not find another.
