The popular twill collection is woven to the same exacting standards that make Abyss a leader in luxury, quality, and durability.
Craftsmanship: Abyss towels are made to order in Portugal from 100% Egyptian Giza 88 Extra Long Staple Cotton. While other brands my incorporate different grades of Egyptian cotton in their towels, Abyss uses it in all three weaving directions: weft, warp and pile made of double twist. This makes Abyss towels low in lint, stronger, and longer lasting. Furthermore, Abyss puts proportionately more weight into the pile of the towel as opposed to the base, which makes it dry better than others of the same weight.
Distinctive Details: Abyss towels are bound with a signature bias trim; they're finished with continuous, curved corners that are more durable than traditional square finish. They're also pre-shrunk and piece-dyed after sewing to ensure the towel, label, and trim are color matched. The towel you purchase will be the towel you see, washing after washing.
Caring for your towels: Wash and Tumble Dry at low temperatures. Drying hot will greatly reduce the life of the towel. Do not over-dry towels and rugs. Using care when washing will add years to the life of your Abyss Twill towels.
Do NOT bleach or use any detergent containing bleach. Beware of facial creams or ointments. These can cause discoloration and stains. Avoid fabric softeners as these can coat the cotton fibers in unnecessary chemicals and can reduce absorbency and can make your towel or bath rug less soft over time.
If pulls or snags should occur, simply snip them down to the level of the other loops. This will not affect the towel. Always wash Twill towels by themselves, without clothing, rugs or other home linen items. If pulls are noticed after washing, check your washing machine for any sharp plastic that may have been previously damaged by zippers. Wash whites and colors separately.
