Gorgeous Austrian Antique Oyster Plate. This rare purple Pansy color is not readily found in the oyster plate world! The most beautiful purple flowers with light washes adorn each well of this oyster plate made by Victoria Carlsbad, Austria, between 1891-1918. Beautifully and richly gilded around the edges, the plate shows a very little bit of wear to the gilding. The plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. (Except one has two slit on the ridge of the base from the manufacturer's defect, but it does not affect the appearance of the top). This is a lovely plate with 6 shell-shaped oyster wells and a center condiment well.
There are four available. To add to your collection, hang them together on the wall or display them in a cabinet. One or two are a lovely addition to any oyster plate collection.
