AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female-fronted metal band hailing fromMontreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, fronted byScottish singer Michelle Macpherson, and driven by both the superlativekeyboards of (ex-Rainbow) David Stone and his 13-year-old protégé GillanMacpherson-Briggs; their goal is to re-create some of the original aspects of1970s Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with 21stCentury Prog Metal, Doom Metal & Metalcore to create a new metal hybrid.AraPacis have shared the stage with acts such as Blaze Bayley, Uli Jon Roth,Anvil, Raven, the Agonist, Doro, etc. The band is named after the Ara Pacis(Latin for "altar of peace"), an altar in Rome dedicated to Pax, the Romangoddess of peace.Nucleus of Chaos is their 10th album.The album's lead track, Let In Love, features Derek Sherinian onkeyboards (Dream Theatre, Black Country Communion, etc).
