- APPLICATIONS: Specially designed to cut soft stranded wire such as SOOW, SJOOW. It will also cut thin copper sheets (up to 0.5mm), strip insulation, cut cable ties, solder wick and other electrical materials. It hosts crimping function to crimp 0.5mm (~4 mm2) terminals
- SUPERIOR QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Blades are made from high carbon alloy steel from Japan and infused with Molybdenum and Vanadium to achieve a HRC 60-62 hardness. One blade is micro-serrated for maximum hold on the material to ensure a clean and precise cut. Extended tang for efficient force transfer. Ergonomic handles accommodate different hold preferences
- PERFORMANCE: The cable cutting notch near fulcrum provides leverage and seating for stable cuts. It can cut SOOW 14/3 or SJOOW 12/3 cord wires easily. It has been tested for hundreds of cuts on 10AWG cable. The quality of cut at the end of life was very good (no hanging strands)
- PORTABILITY: The shears are small in size (overall length 5.5 inches / 140 mm, blade length 1.25 inches / 32 mm) and light weight (5.5 oz / 154.2 grams). It comes with a plastic holster. The small and compact design is ideal for storage and for carrying in toolboxes as technicians work in the field or move between job sites
- SAFETY AND COMFORT: Ergonomically designed handles made of Nylon with 30% fiberglass and TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) over-molded for a non-slip and comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue and strain during repetitive use.
