Authentic WW1 US Army Doughboy Helmet Trench Hat “Acme Protective Equipment Co.” Antique RARE. Here we have an authentic US Army Doughboy helmet from World War 1. This style helmet was also called a trench hat among other nicknames given to it by the soldiers. This piece was made by the Acme Protective Equipment Co. of out Pittsburgh PA. I believe that this is a 1917 issued piece. The original liner is still present but not attached. The helmet itself is in vintage display condition and would be a great addition to your collection.
