This is the "2ND MODEL" US ARMY PANEL MARKER FABRIC from BAA COSTUME MFG.

The material is DEAD STOCK of PANEL MARKER FABRIC adopted by the US Army in the 1970s. "Panel marker fabric" is a strip of fabric used by US government air liaison officers, attached to tanks, trucks, backpacks, and anything else that needed to be recognized from the air. It was also placed on the ground to identify the location of units and emergencies.

This item is a remake of the 2nd model into a wide-silhouette jacket with a T-BACK specification, with a seam in the center, using such precious fabric. Some may wonder about a 2nd model with a T-BACK, but it's a very rare specification, yet a detail that exists in vintage items.

The fabric with the stencil part that proves the real thing is used on the inside of the left chest flap and the back of the left sleeve cuff.

The cotton fabric is as thick as a shirt, and has a very smooth feel. It feels like it can be worn as a jacket or a shirt, so you can wear it all seasons.
