Since its founding in 1965, Toyo Enterprises has the longest history as a Japanese apparel manufacturer.

Analyzing old photo materials from the war, we can occasionally see pilots wearing these commercially available jackets, which tells us they actually flew in them. Although wearing jackets other than those issued by the government was, of course, against regulations, this is a typical example of how regulations were relaxed during wartime. The differences between government-issued and commercial products were mainly in design and the use of materials, with colors often conforming to those of government-issued items. Especially in the design of the jackets' appearance, many were based on military-issued items with added arrangements, resulting in many attractive jackets with a very classical impression. Aviation Associates represents the phantom jackets that Buzz Rickson's, a military contractor at the time, released for civilian use. We hope you will experience this masterpiece, which embodies the Buzz Rickson's spirit.

The British Royal Navy's duffle coat protected the bodies of soldiers working on ships from the cold. The sturdy fabric, woven in a twill weave and shrunk, was excellent in cold protection and wind resistance. When it comes to duffle coats, the type with a hood and knee-length adopted by the British Royal Navy is common, but there are also shorter duffle coats. The toggles, designed to be fastened even with gloves on, are the same as those on hooded duffle coats, and the shawl collar is the most distinctive feature. There are few existing examples and little documentation, so many points are unclear, but the short length makes it easy to move in and wear lightly.

The thick, high-quality wool melton is finished at 34 ounces, a level you won't see anywhere else. There are no compromises in the details, with natural wood toggles, linen loops, and nut buttons. The width is roomy enough to wear layers underneath, but the length is neat. The beautiful silhouette when worn is also excellent, resulting in a very elegant finish.
