Chéngmén (city gate) is an oud-floral-orris limited edition perfume by January Scent Project. The fragrance is inspired by three rare oud oils, the smells of a Chinese apothecary, and the writings of author Wenfu Lu. The release is accompanied by a short AI-animated film, which is accompanied by a musical composition by perfumer John Biebel. The fragrance notes include top notes of lemon, bergamot, aldehydes, and fruit notes; middle notes of red champaca flower, lily of the valley accord, mimosa, olive absolute, white pepper, and coleus root; and base notes of aged Thai oud, Cambodian oud, Vietnamese oud, orris root, costus root, flouve absolute, cypriol, vanilla, spikenard, sandalwood absolute, benzoin, and musk.
