You are looking at a used children's wooden toy box. Oh they grow up so fast. This is a pearly white with a train painted on the top and a little bear on the front side. This is used so you can see scuffs and scratches in the paint. I did a little repair to the hinge. The outside of the box measures 24" x 13" x 12" with a little overlap on the lid. I think it is made of pine.
The step stool reminds me of the days when i couldn't reach the sink in the bathroom to wash my hands or brush my teeth. That stool was a wonder. It is painted also, but a much darker almost tan color with bows on the corners and in the middle. The step stool measures 13" x 8" x 8".
