TRIUMPHANT, CRUSHING HEAVY METAL FROM THE REVERED UK DOOMLORDS, CONAN NOW ON PEACEVILLE UK heavy/doom metal band Conan is the brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Jon Davis, and was formed in Liverpool in 2006 initially as a two-piece act, before later evolving into a trio. The band's early compositions resulted in the 'Battle in the Swamp' demo, already demonstrating a strong vision of Conan's impending journey of bludgeoning metal. 'Monnos' was the band's debut full length release, originally released in 2012, and showcased Conan's propensity for sprawling epics featuring relentless down-tuned walls of overpowering doom; the hypnotic and monstrous riffs backed up by minimalistic lyrics conjuring formidable scenes of dark mythical lands & fierce battle, all narrated with Davis' ominous vocal menace. The 'Battle in the Swamp' track was also reworked from the early demo and recorded for the release. 'Monnos' was recorded at Foel Studios, & was mixed and produced by current Conan member Chris Fielding. Conan has become one of the premier names of the UK metal scene in recent years, cemented further with their latest studio opus - 2016's 'Revengeance' - having released three albums to date, and also having toured extensively throughout both Europe and North America. This version of 'Monnos' will be released as a single LP on 180g heavyweight audiophile vinyl.
