This is a cut crystal inkwell with a lid that I was told was leather, although I am not absolutely sure of that. The inkwell is pyramid shaped with cut edges and is clean and quite lovely.
The inkwell measures 2 5/8 inches across the base and it is 1 3/8 inches tall not counting the lip. Including the lid, it is about 2.50 inches tall.
Some dirt falls out of the lid, and I have not attempted to clean it since I’m not sure what it is made of. The lid was described as having an Egyptian Solar Swirl pattern.
I was told there is a tiny fleabite on the base under the inkwell, but I am not seeing it.
The lid screws on the inkwell to a point and I have found no damage. The inkwell is clean, but slightly darker than new crystal.
