Your 1” outdoor railing posts can be hollow or solid when using this post mount. What’s included is a base plate with flange tube that has an outer dimension of 1” x 1” and 4 anchor bolts. Size reminder to measure your square post’s outer dimension- 1” x 1” to ensure compatibility with the flange tubes 1” x 1” outer dimensions.This unique repair foot is designed to work with both 1" hollow tube and solid steel 1" handrail posts.

- EASY INSTALL: Cut off post right under bottom horizontal bar of railing. Slide mount under in same spot and weld on. Use the concrete anchors provided to bolt down the post mount and done! Measure what you will cut off. This will be the measurement you need to order for your new repair handrail bracket
- INCLUDES: 10" High Rail repair bracket for 1" posts and 4 anchor bolts, base plate cover with (4) x 3/8" holes for bolting down. Base plate covers hole in concrete also-.painted black
- MOUNTING: Base plate is 3" x 3" with (4) 3/8" holes and is designed for easy Hassle-free installation, providing a secure stable post mount for your outdoor railings, handrails, deck, fence and guardrails. Base plates also cover up existing holes in the concrete. 4-Anchor bolts provided 5/16” x 1 ½”
- Reminder: Welding is required for this post bracket. These repair mounts are for 1” x 1” outer dimension post. Hollow square tube metal posts and solid square steel posts. They will not fit a 1 ¼” post over them. They will not fit a 1 ½” post inside them and a 1 ½” post will not fit over this mount. Use of these railing repair brackets do not require the handrail to be out of the concrete to be installed properly. Slide under railing after damaged part is removed and welded on to secure it.
- WHAT SIZE TO ORDER: The best thing to do is measure the post leg right below the bottom horizontal bar of the railing to the cement. Normally anywhere from 3” – 8” depending on the post placement on the steps. What you are cutting off is the measurement of the new repair bracket you will need to order. Completely cut the post off right below that horizontal bar. Install new post mount.
