The eggcrate (soft grid) flags the existing light source into a more contained area reducing light spill to fit challenging light requirements. The eggcrate grid contains the light to a tubular pattern for more of a spotlight effect with minimal light spill. The eggcrate provides directional control of soft box light letting you keep light on your subject and off the background, controlling spillage. The velcro-style edging makes installation fast and easy. Unlike most grids, EZ-Pro DLX Grids can be left in the EZ-Pro DLX Softboxes when they are broken down in storage, no need to remove the grid during every shoot break down! Designed to be crush-resistant, EZ-Pro DLX Grids can be left in the EZ-Pro DLX Softboxes when they are broken down in storage, no need to remove the grid during every break down. Use care when removing the grid from the softbox; pull apart the velcro directly, not from the center of the grid as the grid material can tear with enough force used.
