When plugged in the unit turned on but I have no way of knowing if it is functional. Physically the unit is in great condition. It sat inside a air conditioned warehouse since the late 1980s. There are no broken pieces and the unit is well built.
Because I have no way of knowing if the unit is functional im selling it as-is and/or parts only.
The company has a long history of merging with other tech companies and has changed their name several times. From General Scanning Inc. to GSI Lumonics to GSI Group and they are now known as Novanta.
