Scarce first edition, 9th UK Bloomsbury Hardcover printing, number line of 10 9. Copyright page credits Joanne Rowling, drawing of a young wizard on the back of the book and dust jacket. Because there are no hardback sixth and seventh prints, the 9th print is actually the seventh, with a very small printrun, which mistakenly contains the original text of the first edition, including the misprint on page 53 ( ‘1 Wand' twice). This misprint was corrected after the first print and for unknown reasons is again present in only the 8th and 9th UK Bloomsbury Hardback printings. Also unusual is that the dust jackets of the ninth printing lack the £10.99 price on the inner flap. The book is in a fine condition. Spine ends and corners are sharp. End papers clean, inside without marks, inscriptions, or stamps. Firm binding, book seems unread. Pages are very bright, without the usual browning
