Hattie Carnegie Grey Rhinestone Parure Set

This is a beautiful and unique Hattie Carnegie gray rhinestone necklace with wire wrapping and a gold plated base from the 1950s to 1960s. This necklace is a book piece and found in Costume Jewelry 101 by Julia Carroll on page 139 in pink. Carroll describes the necklace like this: Superb quality art glass choker necklace signed "Hattie Carnegie" on an applied oval dis. This lovely necklace is constructed in five segments. Each stone is accented with X's of gold wire and small clear rhinestones in a "hugs and Kisses" style. The beautiful necklace has large gray rhinestone chatons with small clear rhinestone chatons on each corner. The necklace is gorgeous and each section is attached with two emerald cut rhinestones which have two loops underneath, making the necklace more flexible. The high quality designer is obvious from the construction. The necklace is stamped on a raised cartouche, Hattie Carnegie. This is an heirloom collection. Necklace with matching bracelet and clip on earrings.
