Probably the finest binocular to wear the Jason name, this JB-2 KATSUMA made binocular has been cleaned internally and lubed. Views are outstanding despite one genuine Japanese-made Bak-4 prism being chipped right side. The chip of glass scratched the inside of the right objective way off axis at the 6:00 o'clock position yet neither issue, quite common in Vin Bins, effects sterling views. Cleaning marks can cause far worse views.
This is a similar shaped bin to the FUJI-made Bushnell CUSTOM 7x35 shown for comparison. Yet another highly regarded bin from Japan's Golden Age of Binocular Production. The Jason has all four of its logo embossed lens caps, a lanyard type carry strap I've shortened with a simple overhand knot to allow the optic to sit higher on the chest. Such lessens bin bashing swings when bending over. The case is in equally great cosmetic shape missing its carry strap.
