Jinxiu Yellow Peach originates from Guangming Town in Shanghai. It is easy to store, typically lasting 7–10 days after harvest. Due to its thick and firm flesh, it is well-suited for long-distance transportation. The fruit has an attractive appearance, with golden-yellow flesh and a uniform, symmetrical shape. The largest fruits can weigh up to around 700 grams. Its sugar content is higher than that of Nanhui Honey Peach and Wuxi Flat Peach, averaging between 13% and 15%. It has a small pit.
When fully ripe, the flesh becomes relatively soft—tender yet firm when eaten—sweet with low acidity and a pleasant aroma. It has moderate juiciness and a tempting flavor. The typical harvest period is from mid-August to early September, making it an excellent choice for the autumn fruit market.
