This pretty ring is made with lab created alexandrite and natural, earth mined white zircon. Just like an earth mined alexandrite, this lab created gemstone sports an 8.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. The stone looks like a purple/blue in indirect sunlight, and it is a vibrant purple under incandescent light. The first two photos show the color change. The alexandrite measures 10x8mm, and the total gemstone carat weight on the ring with the alexandrite and zircon is 4.25. The ring is set in solid .925 sterling silver with a platinum plate to prevent tarnishing.
