We especially appreciate the comfortable rounded handles, and we think the sharpening groove in the file is a great idea. This model saves on weight and cost by leaving out the serrated knife, the saw, and the extra flat screwdriver that come with the Wave, but we think Leatherman's made the right choice and kept the essential tools. After all, how many of us really find ourselves suddenly in need of a 3-inch saw? It happens--but probably not often enough to warrant the extra heft in our pockets. The Pulse keeps Leatherman's excellent pliers and wire cutters, the improved scissors, the diamond-coated file, the sharpening groove, three flat screwdrivers, one Phillips screwdriver, and the can/bottle opener.
