This is a set consisting of a Lightning connector DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter), a dedicated RCA cable, and a portable amplifier.
The cable connecting the DAC to the amplifier has some yellowing.
It hasn't been used very often.
I used it with the earphones that came with the iPhone, and the sound is noticeably better than just using the adapter to connect the earphones.
Connecting it to an amplifier using the dedicated RCA cable is also better than using a simple RCA conversion cable.
Note that the DAC cannot be connected if you are using a protective case on your iPhone.
It seems that only some products support the use of extension connectors or cables, so the iOS device should generally be used without a case.
