The background is from “Blue Rhythm” 1931.The first production/airing of the cartoon was in black and white. A colorized version was released in 1998.This is a reproduction. Hand inked and painted. The mixed matching of character layer and background was how it was presented at Bonham’s auction.The original cel auctioned on June 2016 at Bonham’s and sold for $16,250.This reproduction is a fraction of the cost, but all the enjoyment. 9x12 cel with printed background for presentation purposes.
