The Munchkin Easy Close XL Wide Baby Gate, made especially for parents seeking added peace of mind and versatility, is perfectly suited for stairways and wide openings. Made from strong steel material, this gate provides ultimate durability and strength. Safe for use anywhere in the home, this pressure or hardware mounted baby gate stands 36" tall and fits openings 29.5" to 51.6" wide. The extra-wide 22" walkthrough allows for easy in and out access. You can also choose to use an optional third lock at the base of the gate to control the direction that the gate opens. It allows you to set the door to open in either direction or locks both ways to prevent it from opening at all. This feature adds another safety measure for places like the top of the stairs. Please note that this gate ships with a gap between the gate frame and the handles. This is not a defect. The gap will close once gate is properly installed. Do not use this gate at top or bottom of stairs without using all four wall cups. For maximum safety, use four wall cups with sticky pads and screws provided when installing the gate in all locations.
