Freemasons trace their lineage, back to King Solomon, which explains the title: "Ecce Orienti or Rites and Ceremonies of the Essenes." Some famous Freemasons include: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Wayne, Harry Houdini, Teddy Roosevelt, Richard Pryor, Rudyard Kipling, Wolfgang Mozart, Voltaire, Count Basie, Mark Twain, Will Rogers, Buzz Aldrin, and Winston Churchill.
The book has a semi-hard cover, blue leatherette surface, which is lightly frayed in spots. There are some occasional light pencil check marks. The spine is worn, but intact. No pages are loose or missing. Overall, nice antique condition. If you can figure out the code, you might even be able to do the "Secret Handshake"!
