You will have to search far and wide in order to find an eleven degree super wide like this just cleaned and optically enhanced beauty! Far more ten degree extra wides are out there for sale, but the elevens are quite rare and are now considered super wide for the aperature, or front lens size of 50mm. By comparison, an eleven degree 7x35 is quite common and one has to go above 11.5* to enter the super wide realm for that sized Vin Bin.
All four really large, well finished BK-7 prisms were carefully cleaned and sides blackened to slightly enhance brightness and contrast in this single coated classic optic front the 1960s. Yes, it really is that old and so well made it will easily last several lifetimes more with some TLC and once a decade maintenance. I used NYE damping grease on the focuser and right diopter so that now both are super smooth.
Views are crisp, clear, and jaw dropping wide!!! NOTHING LIKE THEM PRODUCED ANYWHERE ON THE GLOBE!!!
