Product Description Metacaulk Putty Pads to protect metal electrical cabinets, outlet boxes and mechanical cabinets, to maintain hourly rating of fire-rated walls with electrical outlet boxes and to reduce sound transmission. Moldable non-curing fire-rated material for through penetration firestop systems makes for easy installation. Firestop material applied by hand. Rated for up to 3 hours in accordance with the ASTM E 814, UL 1479 and ULC/CAN4-S115-M test standards. Firestop pads have sound transmission class (STC) Rating 60; only one pad thickness (1/8") needed for a 1-2hr. fire rating. No asbestos fillers. No special skills required to apply this firestop sealant. No mixing or additives needed. Expands when exposed to fire.
