Thanks should go to the author and his colleagues for collecting all of this information through extensive fieldwork and careful documentation. After interesting introductory chapters that put Piedmont blues into a socioeconomic and historical background, the bulk of the book catalogues who made this music, where they made the music, where they recorded, and with whom they recorded.
