The strap is rotated a half-turn to sit comfortably on your neck or in your hand and to allow for the smooth side to face out. The Kodiak oiled leather will take on a beautiful patina. The metal clasp is made of nickel plated brass, and has a very thick and robust build. Kodiak leather is oiled during the tanning process, which gives it very unique properties such as water resistance and pliability. Kodiak leather also ages in a very special way, taking on the marks of its surroundings, yet always keeping its deep honey-chestnut color.
