The Victor RG-VC1, a Sega Saturn accessory, is a Video CD decoder (NTSC) used to play Video CDs on the Sega Saturn Console. It is inserted into the back of the console and supports both NTSC and Pal formats.
The RG-VC1 allows the Sega Saturn to play Video CDs (VCDs) which are a type of CD that can store video and audio data.
It also enhances the experience of certain Sega Saturn games that use MPEG video, like "Vatlva" and "Lunar: Silver Star Story MPEG-ban".
While the VCD card can enhance games regardless of region, playing VCD discs on a non-modded PAL Saturn requires an Action Replay to bypass region locking.
