This camera is a 6x6 and semi-format spring camera released in April 1951 by Olympus Optical Co., Ltd. (renamed "Olympus Corporation" in 2003).

It is equipped with a film surface stabilization device that removes slack by pulling both ends of the loaded film, ensuring flatness. Therefore, winding the film is tight, to the point where a child would not be able to do it.

There are two types of Olympus Chrome Six III: Type A, equipped with an F3.5 lens, and Type B, equipped with an F2.8 lens. This product is Type A.

The body has signs of aging, such as scratches, dirt, rust, peeling plating, and peeling of the leatherette, so the appearance is not very good.
In particular, the leatherette on the front cover was completely peeled off, so it has been repaired with faux leather. The opening mechanism of the front cover itself is generally good.

The bellows have damage at the corners, but there do not appear to be any holes.
The film guide rollers and pressure plate are generally in good condition.
The semi-format film mask was found in the back of a storage area and is slightly warped, but there are no particular problems in practical use.

The viewfinder can be removed by turning the eyepiece, so the inside of the viewfinder can be cleaned with a cotton swab. However, the coating on the objective lens has deteriorated, and there are spots of dirt.

The shutter operates at all speeds, with Copal B, 1-1/200.
There are no problems with the aperture or self-timer.

The lens is Olympus Zuiko F.C. 1:3.5 7.5cm, and there is general haze due to the deterioration of the coating.
In actual shooting, the images will be slightly soft, and beautiful people will appear even more beautiful, while older people will look about 4-5 years younger.

The brochure at the end of the product images is for reference and is not included with the product.
