From the Manufacturer The Steel City 55151-1/2-25 is a pre-galvanized steel octagon box extension ring. It has a 4-Inch Diameter and is 1-1/2-Inch deep with a 15.8-Cubic Inch capacity. On each side and both ends of the extension ring there is one 1/2-Inch knockout and is intended for use with conduits. The extension is used when you need to add wire capacity and mounts directly on top of the octagon box so additional circuits can be ran.
