Pre-owned in very good condition John Frederick Herring began life in a humble way. Both as a professional coach driver and as a painter and it was not until 1821 that he was persuaded to become a full - full-artist. He speccialised in sporting. Became very popular even in royal circles and received commissions from George IV. The reproduction shown here is two of Series of six of his famous hunting scenes. J. F. HERRING SR. 1795-1865.
