- Easy to Install: First, twist the spout to the left or right while the set screw is exposed; Second, use the hex wrench to loosen the set screw; Third, pull the old tub spout off; Fourth, loosen the new bath tub spout's set screw; Fifth, Clean up the 1/2" copper pipe; Sixth, take the new diverter line the hole up with the copper pipe and slide it over; Seventh, use the hex wrench to tighten the set screw; Eighth, Twist the bath spout in original place
