This is an unused pair of John Lobb Turf boots.
Turf refers to grass or lawns in general, but it is also used to refer to the grass where horses run at racetracks, which is a more familiar meaning. In landscaping terminology, it almost always refers to lawns. This distinctive sole suggests that you can ride on such lawns. In addition, the suede is resistant to dirt.
To put it simply, it looks like a high-end update of a mudguard, but it's a cool shoe. I can imagine myself walking through the grass with a swish. The design takes into account water droplets from morning dew and slightly unstable soil.
