- [Installation Steps] Step 1. The first thing you need to do is unfold it and lay it flat with the surface that will attach to the flat surface of the door down flat on the floor for a day or two, so you can get any kinks or folds out of it before you install it. Step 2. If any part of it isn't laying flat on the floor, take some painters tape or packing tape and tape it down flat. Step 3. If that still doesn't work, use a hair dryer and massage the kinks out with your fingers or get some hot water and dip the affected portion in the water and massage the kinks out. Step 4. Then, grab your old gasket at the top and begin to pull it out working your way around the door.
- [Installation Steps] Step 5. To install the new seal, find the short edge that looks like there is a tab sticking out and place that in the top corner of the door where you are replacing it. Step 6. The flat part of the seal should be on the outside because this is where it will seal to the refrigerator opening surface. Step 7. Starting at the top outer conner work your way down, firmly pushing the seal into the grooves of the refrigerator door. Step 8. Once you reach the bottom, go back to the top edge and push the seal in across the top horizontally, then work your way down the other long edge on the inside and finally, push it in across the bottom.
