Zippo featuring the emblem of the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Established on October 1, 2002, USNORTHCOM is a unified combatant command of the U.S. Department of Defense responsible for providing command & control of homeland defense efforts & coordinating defense support of civil authorities. The emblem depicts the American bald eagle, with the words UNITED STATES at the top and NORTHERN COMMAND at the bottom, encircling the eagle.
Zippos, manufactured by the Zippo Manufacturing Company since the 1930s, are known for their durability & windproof design. They have a long history of being used by the military & are popular among collectors.
The bottom of the Zippo shows it was manufactured in March 2003. C for March & 03 for 2003
