This Plant Eats Live Bugs. Yes, this infamous Venus Fly Trap is carnivorous and eats flies, crickets, spiders and other insects, either alive or dead, by luring the bugs into its open jaws and then snapping shut. The bug is trapped and the plant digests the insect. Mature vibrant Venus Fly Trap with many large traps. You will receive plant bare root. Plant in pot, use a mix of 50% vermiculite and/or perlite and 50% peat moss. Shipped by USPS. Water only with distilled or rain water. Never let it dry out. Give as much light as possible.
