Vintage Murano Centerpiece Art Glass
Bullicante is applied to very thick glass. It consists of overlaying several layers of air bubbles in a grid pattern within the vitreous wall. This is then pulled with the blowpipe which creates tiny depressions imprinted in a regular pattern on its surface.
this is Murano Style...I ONLY say this is Murano "style" because technically there is no signature. I,on the other hand, have seen tons of pieces of art glass and immediately recognized the beautiful detailed art in this piece and knew right away with the scrolled ends, that this is Murano and I had to bring it to my customers! Please feel free to research yourself others similar from Murano. You will be pleased!
Whoever owned this item previously, used it as an art piece set inside some sort of stand instead of by itself as a centerpiece bowl, as it so obviously is built to do. Thus this has caused there to be some damage to the base bottom of the item.
