Hull Pottery, which began in Ohio where the booming stoneware industry was known as the 'pottery center of the world', created a pottery tradition that carries beyond the company's closing in 1986. The Ebb Tide line was produced 1954-1955 and characterizes native fish, shells of the sea and tide water life in this 'Seaweed and Wine' colored ewer. The high gloss embossed ewer is in the shape of a large shell with a fish for the handle, and fish and seaweed at the base capturing the beauty of this art pottery. A statement MCM piece.
Estate piece in very good condition with a small scratch on the large shell by the mouth of the fish; clean interior. Embossed on the bottom is E-10 USA. Measures approximate: 14" H and 8.5" at base. Color may be effected by monitor setting.
