Presenting this spectacular Paul Wood framed under glass print, depicting a flying Mallard duck and an English Pointer. Titled Canard ( Duck).
This print is not an original etching. It is an original "Etchtone" photo-mechanical print produced by Sydney Z. Lucas of New York in the 1930s-1940s. This print is 70-80 years old and not a modern reproduction. ( Info by Darvill's Rare prints )
Paul Wood was an American artist and studied art at the Springfield School of Fine Arts and The Art Students League in New York. He was well known for his watercolors and etchings . He loved to paint various breeds of dogs and birds. During the 1930's his etchings were published by the Paris Etching Society and exhibited in the United States and France. Frame is wood and is in vintage used condition. Backing has not been removed. Glass is good!
