This display pedestal or side table has a winged lion seated sculpture forming the column. The lion is a symbol of regal dignity, the sun and victory. Astrologically, Leo is recognized as the symbol of courage, nobility and enterprise. A lion often appears in the family crest of nobility.
This Gothic style pedestal is hand cast of reinforced artist grade plaster, hand finished and meticulously crafted in the U.S. Its sturdy build ensures that it will last for years to come. Measures approximately 21 3/4” H x 8 1/4” W x 13” D; weighs 25.5 lb. Offered in excellent vintage condition, as shown at pictures.
The height and shape of this display pedestal makes it suitable as a pedestal display or as a side table for a glass top. Recommended glass size is approximately 18” in diameter, 1/2”-3/4” thick. Perfect also as a stand alone garden piece.
